Winter storm brings up to 9 inches in mountains

DENVER — A winter storm has brought up to 9 inches of snow to parts of the mountains.

Snow also fell in the Denver area making for a slick commute before it tapered off.
Breckenridge Ski Resort reports 9 inches of new snow has fallen in the last 24 hours. Beaver Creek has 6 inches and Snowmass has 5.

The National Weather Service says more snow could be on the way beginning Friday afternoon.
